Our Take: Surrounded by 30 acres of tropical palms and powdery sands, this former 18th-century sugar plantation set along Nevis' northeastern corner, just over a mile east of the Nevis Newcastle Airport, impresses guests with its rustic charm. All 36 guestrooms—which earn a thumbs-up from recent visitors—occupy lemon-tinted cottages and feature wicker furniture, a fully-stocked mini-bar, cozy robes, and complimentary wireless internet. Visitors also rave about the authentic Nevis specialties served at Coconuts, Sea Breeze, and the Great House. Out on the grounds, you'll find numerous activities to choose from, including hiking, horseback riding, snorkeling, biking, swimming, and meandering through Nevis' Botanical Gardens. For an extra dose of luxury, retreat to the full-service spa for a relaxing treatment or massage. But while a versatile menu of amenities is nice to have, recent guests say the impeccable service and relaxing atmosphere are the resort's greatest assets.
