Our Take: Surrounded by a nature preserve on Cozumel's southwest coast, this all-inclusive Occidental Resort provides the secluded atmosphere most escapists crave. Recent guests were impressed by the resort's grounds, which they describe as impeccably manicured. And though some hint that the resort's 251 guestrooms could benefit from a redecoration, most visitors were more than satisfied with their digs, which come equipped with a satellite TV, private balcony and a mini fridge. But that's not to say that Occidental Grand Cozumel's guests spend much time behind closed doors: The property features three pools as well as a private beach. Plus, vacationers can participate in aquatic activities like snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking. Meanwhile, Occidental's six on-site restaurants will keep you fueled and ready to take on the next activity. (The resort also offers scuba diving instruction, deep-sea fishing excursions and spa treatments, but these are not covered by the all-inclusive package.)
