Our Take: If you're looking to get a few runs in while on vacation, the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West might be a great place to land. The hotel offers a nearly 13-acre lake with a 10-km trail surrounding it. The hotel also features an outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi, and a sauna, and the hotel concierge will be happy to set you up with tee-times and court reservations at nearby golf courses and tennis facilities. However, the location makes sightseeing a bit of a hassle: This Omni is about 20 minutes (40 in heavy traffic) northwest of Dallas' city center. Still, many guests greatly enjoyed their experience, citing the spacious guestrooms—complete with pillow-top beds, snack bars, and high-speed internet access—as the hotel's best feature (though the comfort food served at Dover's Grille does receive high praise).
