Our Take: Sitting just under two miles from The Galleria, these luxurious digs beckon to shoppers with high-end taste. Guestrooms look like they belong in on a magazine cover, with stylish gold and black décor and fantastic views. In fact, just as it is in fashion, black is the Omni Houston Hotel's signature color: The hue permeates the hotel, from the hotel's two pet black swans (yes, swans) to the swanky Black Swan bar and NOÉ restaurant. But not everything about this hotel comes in such dark attire; the Mokara Spa, for example, appears bright and refreshing, while the outdoor pool and deck sees plenty of sunshine. In addition to its good looks, most visitors love the look and feel of the property and appreciate its convenient location.
