U.S. News Review

Guests routinely testify to the charm of the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa: Its 400 acres are manicured to perfection, its sizable rooms allow guests plenty of space to breathe and unwind, and its pools are numerous and intimate. Located near San Diego between downtown Carlsbad and Encinitas, California the resort is also close to the shore. After a sizable renovation, the new member of the Omni hotel family wows guests with 607 guest rooms outfitted in rich blue, green and gold decor, marble bathrooms and spacious terraces accessible via sweeping French doors. Families especially love this resort thanks to its on-site water park and the Kidtopia Kids Club, which frees parents up to enjoy an afternoon at the spa, on the tennis courts or the fairways. Clans can reconvene at one of several eateries come dinnertime — BlueFire Grill earns praise for its locally sourced fare, while Bistro 65's casual menu will suite taste buds of all ages.

Critic Reviews

Oyster.com

“This 400-acre ... megaresort near Legoland is packed with family features, including large rooms, six pools with waterslides, and an impressive kids club. The spa, golf courses, tennis courts, and on-site shopping help ensure adults have fun as well, but there are extra fees for almost everything.”

Fodor's

“Guest rooms are in shades of brown and sand with oversize chairs and sofas, while public rooms are filled with open-beam ceilings, paneling, crystal chandeliers, and leather furnishings.”
