Our Take: Situated within walking distance of Boston Common, the decadent Omni Parker House seems to be fit for a king. All 551 guest rooms are simple yet elegant, boasting a blend of warm neutral tones and rich red accents and deluxe amenities like cozy robes, flat-screen TVs, espresso-makers, and complimentary morning newspapers. Most recent guests report a satisfactory stay, though some do claim the walls are paper thin and can prevent a restful nights' sleep. The common areas of the hotel are much more opulent with sculpted bronze doors, ornate ceilings, and rich mahogany furniture.
