Our Take: While the Omni La Mansion del Rio caters to an elite, more sophisticated clientele, the Omni San Antonio draws more families. With its two expansive pools and Sensational Kids program, this hotel provides plenty of ways to keep kiddos happy. Meanwhile, parents can take advantage of hotel perks like private massages and the on-site fitness facility (which features a hydrotherapy pool and a sauna). The Omni San Antonio also offers a variety of different room types catering to groups of all sizes, and Fido and Fluffy are welcome to stay, too (as long as they don't way more than 25 pounds). Because it's not on the River Walk (actually it's about a 15-minute drive away), this Omni has room rates that are significantly lower than those in the downtown area. Most family visitors find the sacrifice of location for a better price to be a good deal.
