Our Take: Guests agree that the PGA National Resort & Spa is an excellent option for golfers, and after a $100 million revamp, it may also be a choice West Palm Beach home base for non-golfers. The resort now boasts a new, zero-entry pool with a poolside café and stylish cosmetic updates to the guestrooms and spa. The grounds can brag of five tournament-ready courses for putters, designed by respected architects like Jack Nicklaus, Tom and George Fazio, and Arnold Palmer. The iRONWOOD Grille also receives favorable reviews (particularly for its succulent seafood or beef dishes). But for those that aren't in love with the greens, this resort still falls a little short. Recent guests say the prices don't match the sluggish service. Appropriately, the PGA National Resort & Spa sits on the Avenue of Champions in Palm Beach Gardens.
