U.S. News Review

The northeastern Florida seaside community of Ponte Vedra Beach — due east of Jacksonville — is known for its super-luxe resorts. And like its sister property, The Lodge & Club, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club gets kudos for its attentive staff and choice amenities. Compared to the Lodge, this resort has more rooms, more pools and easier access to the complex's golf courses and tennis courts. Accommodations here are spacious and equipped with conveniences like minibars, flat-screen TVs and high-speed wireless Internet access. When you feel hunger pangs coming on, you can sit down to dinner the the Seahorse Grill, which serves up fresh seafood alongside spectacular ocean views. The Inn also has a pastry chef on staff with to-die-for homemade ice cream, served in the bistro-style Gourmet Shop. And for a hearty serving of R&R, travelers recommend spending the afternoon at the in-house spa; measuring 30,000 square feet, this spa is one of the largest in the region. However, for many guests, it's the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's customer service that makes them want to come back. Travelers describe the staff here as superb.
