Our Take: For the legroom you would expect at a vacation rental and the personalized service you would expect at an independent hotel, consider staying at Pueblito. Accommodations here come equipped with full kitchens, spacious living rooms and elegantly styled bedrooms, not to mention marble bathrooms stocked with Gilchrist & Soames products and plasma-screen TVs. However, some guests weren't thrilled with Pueblito's location; while the property's prime downtown perch provides access to Playa del Carmen's versatile shops, restaurants and nightclubs, the hotel sits removed from the beach.
