Our Take: The Renaissance Pittsburgh, located in Pittsburgh's Fulton Building, is another one of the Steel City's historical hotels. But the Fulton, built in 1906, has kept up with the times: Guestrooms feature simple-yet-elegant furnishings and state-of-the-art in-room amenities like flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, and complimentary wireless Internet. However, the Renaissance's locale is by far the best selling point among recent guests. Visitors love that Heinz Field, PNC Park, Mellon Arena, and many of the city's most celebrated theaters are all within walking distance from the front door.
