Our Take: Stretching across St. Croix's northern shoreline, Carambola's guestrooms face either lush gardens or Caribbean waters; measuring 563 square feet, rooms feature spacious bathrooms, a compact refrigerator, and satellite TV. Though some guests claim the rooms appear outdated, others praise the décor as plush and comfortable. Days here are as easily filled with hammock-lounging and massages at the 2,200-square-foot Spa at Carambola.
