Our Take: Overlooking Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth, The Worthington Renaissance is the ideal location for leisure travelers; downtown's restaurants and shops are at your fingertips, while top sites like the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame are just a short drive away. However, recent guests warn that this convenience will cost you: Many guests complain of expensive parking fees and Internet charges. But for some, the hotel's indoor pool (and whirlpool) and two in-house restaurants are worth the extra cost. Guestrooms here are a little small for a hotel of this caliber, but recent visitors loved the plush furniture and floral accents, as well as the in-room wet bar. (If you can, reserve a room with a private balcony overlooking main street.) Don't feel like paying extra for views? Take advantage of the floor-to-ceiling windows in BarWired while enjoying a cup of joe. And if you need a little more in your stomach, head to Vidalias for flavorful Southwestern fare. Because this Renaissance property is a member of the Marriott clan, Rewards Club members can put their points towards a free night's stay or a room upgrade.
