U.S. News Review

The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is a playground for adults; in fact, the staff actively discourages guests from bringing their children. Those who have heeded that advice praise the Rio for its very spacious suites, its well-recognized Village Seafood Buffet and its risque yet entertaining Chippendales and X Rocks shows. Others express disappointment over the carnival-like atmosphere that permeates throughout the crowded Masquerade Village (the hotel's casino floor), noting that it can get a bit overwhelming. Luckily, it isn't all about gaming here: Recent travelers love Penn & Teller's residential comedy/magic show, as well as quieter amenities like the Wine Cellar & Tasting Room. You'll find the Rio just west of the mid-Strip hot spots like the Bellagio and Caesars.

Critic Reviews

“Go for the newer Samba rooms for their updated furnishings if the extra bucks they will cost you isn't exorbitant (and if you can stomach the dizzying patterns and bold color schemes attempting a festive feeling but mostly just hurting our eyes).”

Las Vegas Sun

“The Kings Room at the Rio takes some finding, but once inside, after maneuvering through its mazelike entranceway, one discovers an intimate boite ready for fireworks of flesh and fantasy with the flirty femmes fatales.”

“The overarching Mardi Gras theme of Masquerade Village has been toned down in recent years, but certain aspects remain — VooDoo Beach pool has real sand and waterfalls, while VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub is an open-air party worth checking out.”
