Our Take: Rosewood Mayakoba fully immerses guests in the Riviera Maya's beauty through its architecture and design. Not only is it flanked by the region's famed crystalline sands and lush jungle, the resort is also constructed from locally sourced materials, like Yucatán limestone and regional wood. Visitors appreciated the private outdoor deck and heated plunge pool attached to an already spacious suite. And the welcome tequila, daily re-stocked fruit bowl and personal butler services exemplify an above-par level of hospitality. However, guests are quick to note the room rates are high, especially since they don't include meals at Rosewood Mayakoba's three restaurants, access to the adjacent El Camaleón Golf Course or treatments at Sense, A Rosewood Spa®. You'll find this Rosewood outpost just north of downtown Playa del Carmen in the Mayakoba resort complex.
