Our Take: Sitting on the northwest edge of Jackson, The Rusty Parrot Lodge creates a mountain-lodge atmosphere with hand-carved furniture, animal-skin throws, and crackling stone fireplaces. And if you don't mind paying a bit more for your room, you can enjoy views of the Grand Tetons from a private outdoor whirlpool. Not that you'll be want for privacy: Recent guests say that the Rusty Parrot's intimate size enhances resort's homey feel and allows customer service staff to attend to individual needs. (There are some, however, that find the small stature leads overcrowding during peak seasons.) Meanwhile, the mountain-inspired cuisine served at The Wild Sage restaurant and the soothing body treatments offered at the Body Sage Spa add an additional boost of luxury to this already popular hotel.
