Our Take: According to recent guests, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel's location can't be beat. This massive hotel sits just a few blocks from the historic district and a short walk from the trendy nightlife venues of Deep Ellum. Guests also rave about the large guestrooms, which are decked out in cozy neutral tones (with a bit of red thrown in for fun). However, some travelers felt that the property lacks the in-room amenities that you'd normally find in a hotel of this caliber (like mini-fridges), and several guests note having nearly slipped in the shower due to a lack of grip tape in the tubs. Yet the hotel's friendly staff and ample facilities helped make up for the average rooms. The Sheraton is home to a spacious rooftop pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and several large meeting rooms (make sure to check the schedule to avoid running in to conventioneers). And when dinner time rolls around, you'll have four eateries to choose from; visitors say that the home-style fare served at The Kitchen Table Restaurant and Lounge is the perfect way to end a busy day.
