Our Take: The Shore Club is an enigma, many travelers say. The resplendent rooftop spa is certainly a one-of-a-kind, coddling experience, the hip Skybar is a fun environment decked out in vibrant red and orange hues, and the on-site Nobu restaurant is, well, Nobu (no explanations necessary, really). But still, there are some visitors who say that this is one of those South Beach properties that is just too-cool-for-school but not down-to-earth enough to excel at the basics. According to some, the staff has an attitude problem; others find the amenities and quality of the rooms to be subpar considering the average rate to stay here. Still, with its perfect placement along Collins Avenue, the Shore Club can boast that approximately 80 percent of its rooms provide an ocean view and the two bungalow-strewn infinity pools are some of the prettiest hotel pools in all of South Beach.
