U.S. News Review

If you have a hankering for nostalgia, consider booking a stay at this landmark property. Everyone from Ginger Rogers to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor to Al Capone has stayed at The Biltmore. Capone even ran an under-the-radar casino here, and legend has it that the 275 rooms and suites are still haunted with the ghosts of lodgers past. Don't let that spook you: We have a pretty good inkling that these Biltmore spirits are benevolent ones. Amenities like the posh Palme d'Or restaurant and the Donald Ross-designed, 18-hole Biltmore golf course are just too good to think otherwise. But should you need to unwind outside your digs, make your way to The Spa at the Biltmore for a massage or a skin treatment. According to recent guests, you should especially make time for the Sunday Champagne Brunch — that's when this hotel really puts its best foot forward. Rooms are just as rave-worthy with 340-thread-count Egyptian bedding, Frette robes and large picture windows. You'll find the lovely Biltmore in the city of Coral Gables, southwest of downtown Miami.
