The Coeur d'Alene Resort
U.S. News Review
Overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene in northwest Idaho — near the Washington state border — The Coeur d'Alene Resort caters to two types of guests: those in need of some R&R and those in need of an adrenaline rush. For the latter, activities such as mountain biking, parasailing, fishing and jet skiing are all facilitated on-site. And for a more relaxing stay, recent guests recommend playing a round on the golf course or pampering yourself at the spa. Once you're ready to call it a day, you'll have your choice of not one, but nine in-house restaurants, bars and lounges serving everything from colorful cocktails to prime steak to Italian classics. Meanwhile, travelers are fond of The Coeur d'Alene's guest rooms, which come outfitted with flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi access, minibars and, in some cases, private balconies and fireplaces. However, travelers are split on the service: Some past guests said the staff was undertrained and sometimes incompetent, while other previous guests can't wait to return, citing great customer service as their favorite aspect of The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
