Our Take: While staying at The Edge, you might forget that you're in Ocean City—or rather a northern suburb, Fager's Island. By far the most exclusive and high-end property in the area, the collection of only 12 bayside suites offers guests a quality of accommodations that you'd expect from a five-star resort in Maui. Visitors enjoy stunning views of the coastal marsh from their spacious suite complete with high ceilings, Frette linens, feather beds and comforters, and Jacuzzi tubs. And though some say the prices are too steep, most gladly fork over the hefty sum for their memorable stay, especially with the scrumptious bites served at the casual fine dining establishment Fager's Island Restaurant and Bar. If you wish to keep some dough and still enjoy a hotel rich in character, try The Edge's sister property, the Lighthouse Club Hotel at Fager's Island.
