Our Take: This fashionable and relatively new hotel on East Walton gathers acclaim from recent guests for its elegant design and prime location in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. Formerly known as The Elysian Hotel Chicago, the Waldorf Astoria Chicago also wins favor from vacationing couples; some unexpected but appreciated amenities include the in-room fireplaces and 400-thread count Italian bed linens.
