Our Take: Sitting about eight miles west of downtown, this hotel calls itself "a wooded oasis in the heart of Houston." And with its three pools, eight tennis courts, and numerous jogging paths (all set in 18 acres of forest), that's exactly what The Houstonian feels like. Some guests say that this is the "perfect place" to stay, praising the enormous guestrooms not only for their space, but also for their amenities (which include L'Occitane bath products, Keurig coffee makers, and occupancy sensors to let housekeeping know when you're in the room so as not to disturb you). If you're looking to burn some energy, you'll find a rock climbing wall and a gymnasium—where more than 100 fitness classes are held each week—at your service. Meanwhile, The Houstonian houses four distinct eateries where you can reacquire all those calories you burned.
