Our Take: This tiny hotel beckons to travelers who don't have young kids. In fact, you have to be at least 14 years of age to stay at The Marquesa. A look at the amenities list and restaurant menu items and you'll get a sense of that mature vibe—in other words, don't expect to see any chicken nuggets or hot dogs. Instead, sample Café Marquesa's diver sea scallops or roasted duck breast. The rooms are a little cramped, but they're quiet and feature sunny yellows, muted greens, and, in some of the deluxe rooms, hardwood floors. Just be aware that the hotel does not have an elevator, so some guests suggest requesting a room on one of the lower floors (or packing light). You won't need a car while staying at Marquesa, since top sites like the Key West Aquarium, Mallory Square, and the Audubon House are short walking distances away. This four-star is on Fleming Street.
