U.S. News Review

The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale does not disappoint. The hotel's modern decor is accented by art deco touches, the lobby is crafted out of gorgeous marble and private balconies adjoin every guest room. Along with the Atlantic Ocean views, rooms also boast leather furniture, flat-screen TVs and spacious marble baths. Travelers recommend requesting accommodations on a higher floor so that your ocean views aren't blocked by palm trees. Guests can't quite seem to determine what they like most about this hotel, praising the Ritz's posh perks like telescopes for star-gazing, an 8,500-square-foot spa and three restaurants. (Recent guests recommend reserving a table at Via Luna for stellar Italian fare.) But there are two points all reviewers seem to agree on: Both the beachfront location and the outstanding service staff receive high marks across the board.

Critic Reviews

“The sun-filled lobby and public areas sparkle with white-and-charcoal marble floors, crystal chandeliers, leather banquettes, and murals inspired by the work of French artist Jean Cocteau.”
Award: Fodor's Choice

Condé Nast Traveler

“Melding the brand’s urbanity with the town’s identity as a top yacht market and cruise port, the ... Ritz-Carlton (a former St. Regis) resembles a glossy Art Deco ocean liner, from its curvilinear marble lobby, filigreed banisters, and velvet taupe banquettes, to the seventh-floor pool deck that gives guests a sight line straight into the ocean.”

Travel + Leisure

“Tour the hotel's wine cellar; with 5,000 bottles, it’s the biggest in Fort Lauderdale Beach.”
