Our Take: The five-star Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami is pleasantly decorated, pleasantly staffed, and pleasantly placed. It's true that the barrier outpost of Key Biscayne is a bit removed from Miami's activity, but the resort is close to area sights like the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park or the isle's Miami Seaquarium. On the hotel grounds is a cabana-littered pool, the romantically lit Cioppino restaurant (and outdoor Cioppino terrace), the relaxed Dune Oceanfront Burger Lounge, and the tranquil Ritz' spa. The luxury doesn't stop at the hotel amenities: rooms feature Frette bed linens, iPod docking stations, and full or half balconies. To up the luxe, consider upgrading to an oceanview room—a complimentary perk for Marriott Rewards members who have accrued enough points.
