Our Take: This Ritz is a clear guest favorite. Travelers find its luxurious amenities and attentive staff to be in a different class, even when compared with other five-stars. The only thing comparable is its younger sister, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, located approximately four miles away (there's a complimentary shuttle that goes back and forth between the two hotels). At this Ritz, you can relax at the massive spa, salon, and fitness center (about 50,000 square feet in total). Or feast away at one of the several decadent dining options: Recent vacationers describe the on-site Gumbo Limbo restaurant as the perfect place to enjoy dinner at sunset. Recent guests aren't as complimentary of the rooms, however. Travelers say the rooms, which feature private balconies, 32-inch flat screen TVs, and an iPod docking station, are a bit tired and dated.
