U.S. News Review

Having opened in 2011, The Sebastian has made a good impression among boutique hotel fans, with many recent guests saying that the customer service — especially interactions with the ski concierge and the front desk staff — is some of the best they've ever experienced. While this hotel strives to maintain the ambiance of a classic ski lodge, recent visitors love the trendy atmosphere found in the Leonora restaurant and Frost, the hotel bar. Many visitors compliment The Sebastian on its common areas, like the outdoor fire pit and the library, as well as its updated rooms. Accommodations house all the luxury amenities you'll need, including a flat-panel TV, a fully stocked minibar and a Nespresso coffee machine. Travelers in need of a little more space should book one of the residential suites, each of which is equipped with a full kitchen, a dining area and a gas fireplace. And if you're in need of some extra pampering, you can make an appointment at Bloom Spa, which offers a full menu of massages and skin treatments.

Critic Reviews

“This modern hideout in the Rocky Mountains is a beautiful twist on the traditional Colorado mountain hotel, with remarkable attention to detail in the public spaces.”

“The Sebastian is what results when you slip a bit of Manhattan chic into a Colorado ski lodge — this boutique hotel is part art museum (the halls and lobby are dedicated to Mexican abstract artist Manuel Felguérez), and part nightclub.”

Travel + Leisure

“When you're not sashaying down the mountain, take comfort upstairs. The 84 guest rooms and 16 executive suites are more contemporary than rustic, with polished wood headboards, chocolate-colored accents, and beige carpets.”
