U.S. News Review

The Setai blatantly spurns Miami Beach's neon reputation in favor of a classier ambiance, and recent guests appreciate it. Rather than funky decor and bright colors, this Art Deco-era building is filled with classy Asian-inspired design elements like the signature bronze Balinese fireplace found in the lobby. Meanwhile, guest rooms house muted beige and brown furnishings and jade antiques as well as more contemporary amenities like Frette Linens, flat-screen LED TVs and rainfall showers. Although The Setai's environment may induce relaxation on the spot, previous guests highly recommend a visit to the in-house spa, which offers a wide array of massages and skin treatments and houses a private bath, a steam room and a fitness center. Also on the property, you'll have access to not one, but three pools, as well as gourmet Mediterranean or Asian cuisine at The Setai's two restaurants and two bars. But don't plan on spending all your time at the hotel: Travelers praise The Setai for its prime location near the beach and the Bass Museum of Art.

“This opulent, all-suite hotel feels like an Asian museum, serene and beautiful, with heavy granite furniture lifted by orange accents, warm candlelight, and the soft bubble of seemingly endless ponds complemented by three oceanfront infinity pools.”

“Each floor is staffed by teams of 24-hour butlers, while rooms are decked out in chocolate teak wood, clean lines, and Chinese and Khmer embellishments.”

The spacious suites are constructed with dark teak floors and have a decidedly Asian-inspired theme about them, as does the rest of the hotel. The Ocean Suites feature more amenities than other suites, such as the complimentary car service to the airport.
