Our Take: Located about a 10-minute drive south of the Kapalua-West Maui Airport (JWM), The Westin Maui Resort & Spa feels more like a theme park then a resort. For example, there's the 87,000-square-foot network of five separate pools joined by swim-through grottoes, waterfalls, and a giant water slide. Travelers also remark on the number of lodgers staying at this Westin at any given time. In other words, you'll need to get up as early as 7 a.m. if you want a chair to lounge in around the aforementioned pool. Still, rooms are nice, calm, and quiet, with muted décor and private balconies.
