Our Take: Formerly a Westin property, the Omni Providence Hotels has got a major advantage over its peers: location, location, location. Skyways connect the hotel directly to the Providence Place Mall and the Rhode Island Convention Center, making it a convenient home base for shopaholics and business travelers alike. Plus, this Omni features a heated indoor pool and fitness center, and it sits within walking distance of a handful of historic sites and restaurants. And if you should choose to dine in, you'll have your pick of three on-site eateries. However, some guests note that, because the property only just recently switched hands in early January, 2013, there are still some kinks being worked out.
