(roughly 11 miles west of Vail), The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa offers a crisp, clean, and classic ski-resort experience. Sure, you'll still find cozy fireplaces and plush sofas, but The Westin's guestrooms come fully equipped with flat-screen TVs, private balconies or patios, kitchenettes, and the Westin brand's signature Heavenly® Beds. (Still need more room? Opt for larger digs at the resort's sister property, The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas.) Guests praise the resort's on-site facilities, like the heated outdoor pool, the in-house Spa Anjali, and the on-site Cima restaurant, but some note that the nightly rates—in addition to the resort fee—can take a toll on your finances.
