Our Take: Sprawling over Lionshead Circle in western Vail (just a short walk from the Eagle-Bahn Gondola), this massive resort gives visitors easy access to the Vail Ski Resort. While some guests say that the quality of the hotel could use some improvement—particularly the lackluster customer service and aging décor—the majority of visitors agree that the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort is a great value for its location, describing the guestrooms as spacious and clean. Travelers also commend the rooms' amenities, including mini-fridges and private balconies. The Marriott's two pools (one indoor and one outdoor) earn high praise from families, while weary powder-hounds claim that the on-site Golden Leaf Spa is worth visiting after a day on the slopes.
