Our Take: Despite its name, the Viceroy Snowmass makes for a great luxury getaway with or without powder present. Rising prominently above Snowmass Village near the foot of Snowmass' most popular slopes, this massive resort features a variety of outdoor activities, from skiing in the winter to hiking in the summer. Most visitors rave about the Viceroy's chic atmosphere and top-notch amenities: When you're not taking advantage of the great outdoors, recent guests recommend spending an hour or two getting pampered at the spa, lounging by the pool, or enjoying a hearty meal at the on-site Eight K Restaurant. The guestrooms at this Viceroy resort also earn high praise, with travelers commending the elegant linens, massive flat-screen TVs, and deep soaking tubs.
