Our Take: Resting on the southern edge of Emerson College—just a few blocks south of the Boston Public Garden—the W Hotel grants visitors spectacular lodging in a convenient location. The W features an all-glass exterior filled with funky modern décor and simple-yet-stylish furnishings. The fanciful design extends to the luxurious accommodations, which a feature modern accents, locally crafted artwork, and high-end amenities, such as iPod docking stations, 37-inch flat screen TVs, 350-thread count sheets, and lavish Bliss Spa® bath products. Most recent guests report a pleasant stay overall, however some do complain about the floor-to-ceiling windows' inability to drown out the noise from nearby nightclubs. But if you're a Starwood Preferred Guest, you'll be happy to note you may accrue or redeem extra perks by choosing to bed down here. When you're ready to step outside your stylish digs, head to the Market, the casual, contemporary dining venue helmed by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
