How it Ranks: Waldorf Astoria Park City ranks #8 out of 416 Utah Hotels based on an evaluation of expert ratings and awards, as well as user reviews.
Our Take: Surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains, the Waldorf Astoria Park City makes a great home base for a Utah ski vacation, according to recent travelers. Its on-site gondola shuttles guests to more than 4,000 acres of skiable terrain, while visitors can rent equipment and purchase lift tickets through the on-site EPIC Mountain Adventures. But wintertime skiers aren't Waldorf's only happy campers. The hotel's gondola operates year-round, providing access to fishing spots and miles of hiking trails. And guests say that the Waldorf Astoria's pool is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. The Golden Door Spa, however, isn't as highly praised; visitors claim that the price of the treatments is too high. But you don't necessarily need to hit the spa to feel pampered: Guestrooms are spacious yet cozy thanks to plush linens and gas fireplaces, and travelers say they feel like VIPs thanks to the oversized bathrooms (equipped with HDTVs). And though menu prices run high, previous visitors say that dinner at SLOPES restaurant is worth the splurge. After all, you can save a little dough by cashing in rewards points for a free night: This Waldorf Astoria is a member of the Hilton family, meaning that HHonors™ guests can reap the benefits.
