For a great view of the Key West sunset, head to Mallory Square at the northwest tip of the island. During the Sunset Celebration (a nightly arts festival), this is one of the best spots on the island to catch the sun's last moments and revel in the end of the day.
Occurring two hours before sunset, the celebration is a nightly event. But one TripAdvisor user says, "I wouldn't go every night I was in Key West but you have to go at least once." You're sure to be joined by cruise ship passengers (the nearby pier is a popular disembarkation point), as well as some locals and plenty of street performers and music. Several food vendors also sell their snacks in the square, so you have something to munch on as you watch the colorful sunset.
During the day, the square features a sculpture garden and decent shopping spots. The Key West Aquarium borders the square.
