| About these ratings | ||
Originally constructed to be a locals' hangout, the Rio has become a Las Vegas legend. This huge casino represents Brazil with a flurry of neon lights, loud music and bright costumes. Although it doesn't sit right along the Strip (but rather about half a mile west along West Flamingo Road), the Rio is almost always overflowing with gamers and entertainment-seekers.
Recent visitors note that the Rio's small size, dim lights and loud floor show makes the casino area feel rather suffocating. However, travel writers assure that you'll feel much more comfortable in the Masquerade Village section thanks to its high ceilings.
Or, you could skip the gaming tables altogether and spend your time stretching out at the Voodoo and Bikini beach pools, being pampered at the Rio Spa or practicing your short game at the Rio's golf facilities. This massive complex also features a shopping area and several steamy nightclubs. For more information, visit the Rio's website.
