| About these ratings | ||
A wide expanse of a park located west of central Madrid, Casa de Campo was once the hunting grounds of the Spanish royalty. Now it's a favorite spot for families wanting to get away from the city, without going too far. Encased inside are the Parque de Atracciones amusement park, the Madrid Zoo, a boating lake and several restaurants, among many grassy stretches of ground and forested areas, ideal for a picnic or a walk. Recent travelers suggest you bring your kids here.
As of late, however, experts note the presence of prostitutes and their clientele, so you should use common sense when visiting the park. Find Casa de Campo off the El Batón metro stop.
