|About these ratings|
At the Einar Jónsson Museum, you can view sculptures both in and out of doors. Drawing on myths and folklore, Jónsson's sculptures have been described as emotive and even a little disturbing, in some cases, but regardless, his work is definitely masterly and some say a must-see.
One TripAdvisor user says, "The outside was captivating. At the back of the gallery is a well kept yard with an outstanding display of iron sculptures that defy imagination."
The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays, June through September, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; the rest of the year sees abbreviated hours. Admission is the equivalent of about $5.50 USD, but the outdoors sculpture park is free. For more information, visit the website.
