When to Visit Rhodes
The best times to visit Rhodes are March to May and October to November, when you can skirt the more expensive summer season -- but not the comfortable temps. Long, dry and crowded, Rhodes summers buzz with tourists (though the hordes are not as intense as those at other Greek destinations). The shoulder seasons will not only save you money but will also prove to be more peaceful. The winter off-season is not a good time to visit as the weather precludes relaxing outdoors. Note: The northern coast (where most of the attractions are) is a bit cooler than the southern coast and drier than the hilly interior. You can also expect a 10 to 20 degree drop in evening temps in this area.
