| About these ratings | ||
You have to seriously want privacy to visit this remote beach, which hides at the bottom of a steep, 30-minute, cacti-lined hike down from a main road along St. Barthélemy's northwest tip. However, many vacationers do say the effort is worth it: "The water is stunning and calm with a nice soft, sandy bottom," one TripAdvisor traveler reports. "There are some great rocks (in the water and along the beach as well) that afford some great picture opportunities." Do keep in mind that beach bars, restaurants and restrooms have also had some trouble finding Anse à Colombier, so we'd recommend you pack a snack (and visit the bathroom) before you make the trek. And if you're not up for the exercise, consider visiting nearby Anse des Flamands instead.
