If a trip to the city's Museum of Anthropology doesn't fulfill your need for cultural enrichment, head over to the Vancouver Art Gallery. In addition to an impressive permanent collection of paintings, sculpture and photography, the gallery also welcomes numerous stunning traveling exhibits. If you've got a couple of little ones tagging along, make sure to swing by the Annex Gallery, where a number of educational displays are geared toward budding artists.
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, the Vancouver Art Gallery is open every day. Admission ranges from around $20 for adults to $7 for children ages 5 to 12, which some recent visitors say is too much for the experience. But the gallery does make for a good rainy-day alternative. To see what's showing at the museum during your visit, check out the gallery's website.
