| About these ratings | ||
President Abraham Lincoln was shot at Ford's Theatre during a performance of Our American Cousin. He later died from the gunshot wound just across the street. Today, you can tour the theater and in-house museum for free, or you can take in a performance (mostly family-oriented musicals). One TripAdvisor traveler calls Ford's Theatre a "must see" if visitors are at all interested in Lincoln history. For more information on tours and performances, visit the theatre's website.
