|About these ratings|
This über-sleek museum is one of the District's newest and most popular museums. Located on Pennsylvania Avenue and accessible via the Archives/Navy Memorial metro stop, the Newseum is a museum dedicated to, what else, but the news. Visitors will enter into an atrium complete with a huge news screen and a news helicopter, which disperses into 14 galleries on the history of the news.
Ticket prices run high, but travelers don't seem to mind: One TripAdvisor traveler calls it the "Best Museum in Washington DC," and others say it's a good museum for kids. Although to get your money and time's worth, experts say your kids should be 12 years or older. If you get hungry, you can enjoy some nibbles at the Wolfgang Puck museum café or you can make a reservation to the up-market restaurant The Source (also Wolfgang Puck's handiwork).
