About these ratings

Art may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Whistler, but the town is certainly working to change that. Whistler is home to a handful of art galleries that feature pieces ranging from traditional Canadian art and First Nations works to ornate sculptures and combined photography and painted landscapes. Some galleries are found in popular hotels around town while others reside in their own space. You can read a little more about the art galleries in Whistler on the tourism board's website.

In addition to the galleries, visitors can learn about the abundance of public art in Whistler Village and its surrounding areas on a self-guided tour. You can pick up a map at the Whistler Information Centre (or print one online) that highlights where you'll find intriguing pieces, many of which are accompanied with a little history or a QR code scan-able by smartphone to learn more. Find more information on the public art tours and routes on the Whistler website.
