|About these ratings|
One of the few facilities centers in the national park, the Yosemite Village serves as a way station for travelers heading for the hiking trails or campgrounds. If you're looking for nice lodging within the park or simply want to add equipment to your supplies, the Village is the place to go. Several lodges within the village have souvenir gift shops (Frommer's recommends the shop at The Ahwahnee hotel). Travelers enjoy the village for its relaxing atmosphere and convenient access to souvenirs and necessities. One TripAdvisor traveler says that "The village is very nice with a couple of little cafes to grab a bite to eat and there is also a pretty nice grocery/souvenir store you walk through to get back to the gallery. … a very pleasant place to spend time in while visiting Yosemite National Park."
Yosemite Village also contains a bike trail and a shuttle stop.
