How it Ranks: Carnival Victory ranks #13 out of 24 Carnival Cruise Lines Cruise Ships based on an analysis of expert and user ratings, as well as health ratings.

Carnival Victory, which launched in 2000 and was refurbished in 2010, can carry up to 2,754 passengers and 1,100 crew members. Despite being a fairly large ship, Carnival Victory earns high marks from reviewers who describe the service (from the bars and restaurants to the rooms and shows) as top-notch. In 2015, Carnival Victory will make its way around the Caribbean, stopping in popular ports such as the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. Staterooms on this ship are nearly identical to those found on many of Carnival's other ships, and all cabin categories — Interior, Ocean View, Balcony and Suite — offer 24-hour room service and flat-screen TVs. Interior and Ocean View staterooms are the most economical lodging option but afford less space to maneuver. Meanwhile, Balcony- and Suite-category cabins offer VIP check-in, balconies, complete with chairs and a small table, and more square footage, but come attached to a higher price tag. In terms of dining, passengers have three options, including two main dining rooms and the Lido Restaurant, which serves continental cuisine as well as 24-hour pizza and ice cream. Grown-ups can work off any lingering energy at the fitness center, four pools or the jogging track. For those seeking more relaxation, there's plenty of peace and quiet at the 15,000-square-foot spa and Serenity, the adults-only area complete with whirlpools, lounge chairs and oversized umbrellas. Meanwhile, kids and teens can enjoy a round of mini-golf or shuffleboard in the City Sports Park or head to the ship's children's clubs to partake in age-specific activities designed for passengers ages 2 to 17.

Disclaimers about ship ratings: A ship's Health Rating is based on vessel inspection scores published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). If a ship did not receive a CDC score within 22 months prior to the calculation of its Overall Rating, its Health Rating appears as N/A; in such a case, the ship's Overall Rating is calculated using the average Health Rating of all CDC-rated ships within the cruise line. All ship Traveler Ratings are based on ratings provided under license by Cruiseline.com.
