How it Ranks: Silver Wind ranks #5 out of 5 Silversea Cruises Cruise Ships based on an analysis of expert and user ratings, as well as health ratings.

As part of the ultra-luxurious Silversea family, Silver Wind delivers great service and a refined ambiance. And unlike her Millenium Class fleetmates, the Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper, Silver Wind carries only 296 guests per voyage, allowing for a more intimate, personalized experience. Although the cost of cruising on Silver Wind is steep, travelers can't stop raving about the crew's immaculate attention to detail and the ship's impressive array of culinary offerings. Venture to La Terrazza for zesty Italian fare or savor a six-course meal with aromatic wine at Le Champagne, a Relais & Châteaux restaurant. After your meal, head to the casino or one of the ship's four bars and lounges. Or grab a seat at the elegant Show Lounge to enjoy nightly entertainment, such as feature films and plays. As far as accommodations are concerned, you can count on butler service, a pillow menu and a fully stocked refrigerator and bar filled your snack preferences. And you can fill up your days at sea with rejuvenating treatments at the Spa at Silversea or poolside-lounging while a hospitable staff member delivers oversize towels and tasty cocktails. In 2014, Silver Wind will sail to South Africa before making its way to Europe and Asia.

Disclaimers about ship ratings: A ship's Health Rating is based on vessel inspection scores published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). If a ship did not receive a CDC score within 24 months prior to the calculation of its Overall Rating, its Health Rating appears as N/A; in such a case, the ship's Overall Rating is calculated using the average Health Rating of all CDC-rated ships within the cruise line.
