How it Ranks: Silver Wind ranks #5 out of 5 Silversea Cruises Cruise Ships based on an analysis of expert and user ratings, as well as health ratings.

Sister ship to Silver Cloud, Silver Wind first debuted in 1995. Carrying up to 298 passengers, Silver Wind boasts a nearly 1-to-1 crew-to-guest ratio, offering a higher level of customization than larger 2,000-plus passenger ocean liners. Previous cruisers say the attentive staff kept the ship well-maintained throughout the entire journey. Passengers are also quick to praise the all-suite accommodations, more than 80 percent of which are equipped with a private veranda. Measuring 240 to 1,314 square feet, cabins come with convertible beds (twin to queen-sized), Pratesi linens, walk-in closets and minifridges and butler service. Dining options are just as diverse, with four restaurants to choose from, including a specialty restaurant affiliated with Relais & Châteaux, which was recently remodeled during the ship's latest refurbishment in 2013. Though you have to pay extra for a meal at Le Champagne, past cruisers say the price tag is worth the delicious menu offerings. Like other Silversea ships, Silver Wind offers an eclectic array of daytime activities, including enrichment courses, fitness classes and plenty of facilities to pass days at sea like a pool, a casino and a spa. Grab a nightcap at one of several bars, or catch at performance in the Parisian Show Lounge.
