Best Times to Visit Daytona

The best time to visit Daytona is between March and May. You'll miss the crowded Speedweeks, which is four weeks of events and races before the Daytona 500. Plus, the tourism hangover from busy February will reward you with cheap rates. You will find some students partying in the area during March and April, when the weather is unbelievably nice typically in the 70s and 80s during the day and when spring break is in full swing.

March-May

Springtime temperatures flutter around 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and fall into the 50s and 60s at night. You'll also get to take part in some of Daytona's best (but smaller) events.

Key Events:

June-August

Summer is the most budget-friendly season, but visitors should be prepared for hot, sticky weather. Temperatures rest around 90 degrees Fahrenheit all summer long. The area is hurricane prone; those traveling in the cheaper late summer and early fall should also be mindful of potential storms.

Key Events:

September-November

Fall is a relatively indistinguishable season in Daytona. Summer rains linger into September, but temperatures will hang in the 70s and 80s until the end of November.

Key Events:

December-February

With average daytime temperatures around 70 degrees, it's easy to see why winter is the most popular time of year for events and visitors. Remember to book early whether you are attending special events or avoiding them.
